The conference will provide opportunities to exchange the latest ideas, to present and to discuss recent results on aspects of chemical processes in the ecosystem - soil, air and water, and promising approaches of sustainable development including engineering and modeling, as well as social and educational implications. The aim of the conference is to encourage and facilitate the interdisciplinary communication among scientists, engineers, economists, teachers and professionals working on environmental issues and sustainable development.
Special sessions are planned to focus on research in chemical risk assessment, industrial ecology, education for sustainable development, environmental policy and legislation.
It is also intended to offer an attractive socio-cultural program to participants.
Conference materials will be published in the Book of Abstracts and Conference Proceedings and will be available to conference attendees at the time of registration. A poster session will be running in the lounge area of the conference hall. In addition, the participants will be invited to submit their presentations to the scientific journal CLEAN - Soil, Air, Water, Journal of Sustainability and Environmental Safety (www.clean-journal.com). Upon a peer-review evaluation these will be published in a special issue of this journal.
The 4th International Conference Ecological Chemistry 2007 is jointly organized by the Institute of Ecological Chemistry and Waste Analysis of Braunschweig University of Technology, Germany, the Institute of Chemical-Technical Analysis and Chemical Food Technology of Munich University of Technology, Germany, MRDA, ASM and the Department of Ecological and Industrial Chemistry of the State University of Moldova. It is sponsored by the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety, Germany. The Mediterranean Scientific Association of Environmental Protection and "BWG - Braunschweig' Society of Sciences" are also supporting this conference.
